Most of the jobs done by motor graders can be performed faster, easier and more economically by the HUBER Maintainer. The 9-foot hydraulically controlled moldboard, with 38° angularity and 19-inch power sideshift control, gives you maximum flexibility for a wide variety of grading jobs. Dual-cylinder control positions the blade from 9 1/2" below grade to 13" maximum clearance. The power slide lets you retain blade plane and angle while extending or retracting up to 19" to work around culverts, posts and other obstructions. The Maintainer moves easily through traffic at 16 mph under its own power. Smooth, reliable hydrostatic drive and a narrow profile help it maneuver and work in tight places, performing up to 75% of the jobs ordinarily handled by motor graders.
The bulldozer attachment can be operated independently or in combination with the underbody blade. Its double-acting hydraulic cylinder can provide ground pressure, even below grade. It is especially helpful in spreading stockpiled or truck-dumped loads, using the dozer blade to knock down the pile and the underbody blade to spread it. The dozer blade can push asphalt into tight corners, backblade any excess material and cover the front tire tracks as it backs away. Its many jobs include snow removal from parking lots and other areas where it is impractical to use a plow. It handles grading jobs in tight corners, backfilling, etc.

The 10'6" (3200.4 mm) lifting height and 8'11" (2717.8 mm) dumping clearance of the Maintainer loader attachment, along with its half-yard bucket capacity, enable it to load the average dump truck over the tailgate. Its double-acting hydraulic cylinders for lifting and bucket dump are independent of the moldboard, making it easy for the operator to load out any excess material left over from grading. It is widely used in cleanup work, stockpile handling, loading hoppers, loading windrows of snow, etc.

This utility scarifier mounts on the same lift unit used for a bulldozer attachment. The double-acting hydraulic cylinder gives it down pressure to loosen many types of material including ice for easy handling by the moldboard. The scarifier opens a 33-inch (838.2 mm) path and can exert pressures to 2,400 pounds (1200 kg).

Here’s the best way to remove material under highway guard rails to restore drainage. The 48-inch (1219.2 mm) standard moldboard cutting edge reaches out 99 inches (2514.6 mm). The unit mounts on the moldboard hangers. It is self-contained, with the hydraulic cylinder enclosed in a telescoping box section fitted with replaceable wear plates.

This is the way to gain the benefits of two passes in one for highway shoulder maintenance. The underbody moldboard recaptures uneven berm material and the berm leveler moldboard redistributes it in an even pattern from the edge of the pavement, feathering it outward. Both the lift and tilt adjustments for the leveler blade are hydraulically controlled. A broom removes the excess material from the paved surface.
